Default What Oct should I run?

ok guys, yea there are great trails but thats off the topic, i really need to know here,its cram time, im gonna be stuffing in my engine just before our first race and i really need to know what i can run in it being an 11:1. the top we got here for pump gas is 91....yea thats Alaska for ya, even though we make fuel right down the road from the gas station. 91 to low? should i get some 100 oct fuel and go 50/50 mix or what?! really need your help guys.

91 should still work alright.

While its not best, if you have access to higher octane gasoline to mix with or a quality octane booster then I would see about using them.

I have a very similar setup. I run between 1000 and 1600 feet. I find that 101 is about the perfect octane for my bike.

You have a JE piston which typically had a dynamic compression ratio close to 12.4:1, that seems to have an impact on these things.

so i should go and try and find some higher oct fuel to mix with 91 to be safe...50/50 with 100 and 91 is what? 95/96 oct....that should be good then....alright thanks alot guys

I have an 11:1 JE piston not a 12:1. I opted for this piston due to longevity of motor life and ability to run lower octane fuels.
