i have a 1999 kodiak 400 and i can't seem to get a spark and when i do it's small and the machine doesn't laste for long. would this be a problem with the cdi or would the machine not start at all if there was a problem with the cdi?

 

Try testing it with a eletrical test unit the run for a about $20 at a local parts store.

 

i have one but what do i need to connect it too
