I just watched a 30 minute show on OLN called ATV Action I believe, and it showed a place called Glamis. I have heard about this place on the board. Switching between American Idol and the ATV show, I was wondering if there is an official website for glamis? Does it cost to ride? Is there better times a year to go riding? I live in Arkansas, and have seriously thought about taking my Raptor and my girlfriends Blaster out of state for a ride. We have sandbars here in Arkansas, but nothing compared to Glamis. Any special equipment we might need? I thought about getting dune tires if we make the trip out?

Website You have to buy a pass, not much. If you plan on riding a lot, I would recommend you get some paddles. If you want to go, you better go NOW before summer. You dont want to go during summer in 110F heat. This labor day weekend will probably be packed, by this time of the year I dont go because of the heat, but some hardcore duners still go.

You might check out St. Anthony Idaho if your looking for a great dune trip this summer... I've never been to Glamis, but a bunch of Calif. folks run all the way to Idaho in the summer.... And they say it's 'as good' mebbe better.

Check out www.dunereview.com that site has a BUNCH of dune info, maps, gps info, etc, etc... good bunch of folks on the forums there too.

oh, if you do go to Idaho, get yourself some paddles... the sand is typically very soft there...
