Default 4 stroke question

a kid in my class said he might get a 400ex with a lot of stuff on it

a few parts he mentioned were v force reeds and a hot cam and boost bottle

i told him 4 strokes dont have reeds and he disagreed until he found out he was wrong...i also said i dont think they make boost bottles for 4 strokes but i wasnt sure. do they make boost bottles for 4 strokes?

Default 4 stroke question

its could very well be a 250r with 400ex plastics, as we all know how well they bolt up. otherwise thats the only thing i could think of.

4 strokes dont have reeds or boost bottles,
but they do have a hot cam. your friend is nuts, or somone is feeding him a line....

Default 4 stroke question

4-strokes dont have reed valves and unless his quad has dual carburators, it doesnt have a boost bottle. The purpose of a boost bottle is to equalize the air pressure in both the carbs, it is supposed to improve throttle response.

I get reeds wraped around my axles from riding through cattials and i have a boost bottle full of Gatoraid in the cup holder.
Who said four strokes don't have reeds and boost bottles.
