Weird starting problem
#1
I just finish riding my '02 Raptor & I turned it off in my front yard. 2 minutes later I was gonna move it & notice the bike won't start. No (N) light..No sounds @ all. The key is in, turned on..Gas is on. I'm getting no sort of power. I'm hoping it's the battery as I haven't ridden the quad in about 2 months prior today. Any suggestions on what to check?

I've heard of the wire harness thingy that is located under the back seat coming loose and causing a loss of power all the way around. To lose the "neutral" light, your battery would have to be GONE, or a connection has come loose. My guess is a connection...

As all you guys know, the Raptor is a big pretty heavy fellow, so bump starting is out for me especially by myself. I'm going to get the battery charged today. Hopefully all goes well.

Well I put my battery to charge & within 30 seconds, it's telling me it's fully charged. Anyway, I went ahead & tried it & it started my Raptor. So I guess I'm back riding again. I guess it's time to change the battery. Anybody know of any cheap online stores that have batterys for the Raptor?

Before you toss that battery, pull it out and have it load tested. Most every auto parts store will do this for free. Thats the definitive answer, to whether the battery is junk or not. You could have had a loose or corrorded cable, and now that its been tightened, its all good.
30 seconds seems like an awfully quick charge, which makes me think the battery is still good, and the problem was a connection.
