Is this true?

i was at work today and me and a buddy of mine were talking about quads, this is what he said, one of his friends has got a 05 yfz450, hes rode it for a bit so he decided to change the plug he thought it was no biggie, comes to find out my friend said he had to take the plastic off both sides of gas tank, and kind of set the tank out of the way a little bit just to get in to it to change the plug. now if this is true couldnt yamaha have a better design. i looked at him and thought he was crazy, so any of you yfz owners can you tell me an easier way so i can tell my friend that his friend is an idiot. lol. total time 2hrs that seems like a long time to change a plug

I don't know of hand how the sparkplug is placed on a YFZ but I know with my raptor it is angled out towards the front, all I do is take the spark plug tool they give u with the quad and a ratchet and it works, or use a cresent wrench if space is tight. I don't imagine it to be that hard.
I know one thing, you can jet one of those without taking the plastics off.
MIke.

i dont know about the hole 2hrs.. but it does take a little bit because you have to either set the gas tank aside or take it completely out then you have to take the top off a magnesium cover that is on top of the motor then when you look down in there you see the plug and you take the spark plug thinggy and take it out alltogether it takes about 10minutes for me..
