Default kevlar vs regular

ok.......so im choosing between kevlar or regular friction plates.......i have heard by some people that kevlar plates are the best and they last the longest and others have told me that kevlar plates suck and will wear real quick and that non kevlar plates are the best way to go..........to me it would make sense that kevlar would last longest but im not shure.........i wasted my dp clutch kit after 15 or 20 hrs, my frictions were completely worn all the way down to 1mm and the steels were warped so now i ordered kg steels and hd springs and kevlar frictions but im not shure if ordering the kevlar frictions were the way to go.

From everything I have heard, the Kevlar clutch will last far longer than a factory type, but if you burn one up the kevlar can get torn up into little bits and cause all kinds of trouble for your motor. If you killed a clutch after 20 hours of riding you probably are pretty hard on them, and it's probably a safer idea to stay with the organic material clutches.

HI, HOLESHOTZ8436 I WOULD RECOMEND STOCK CLUTCHES OVER ANY AFTERMARKET CLUTCH.
DP CLUTCH KITS JUST DO NOT HOLD UP!!!! I HAVE HAD SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM.
IF YOU DONT WANT TO USE AN OEM CLUTCH TRY EBC I FOUND THAT THEY ABOUT THE BEST AFTERMARKET CLUTCH OUT!!
BARRNETT IS OK BUT MAKES THE FEEL REAL STIFF.
