If I go from a stock sprocket to a 12t front how much top end will I lose, and how much more bottom will I gain. Another thing is that it is not to hard to change a sprocket so if I wanted to trail ride I could use the 12t and if I were to drag race I can switch back to stock. And with aftermarket exhaust will I beable to gain back those few M.P.H's? Thanx

In my opinion you'll gain a noticable amount of low-end and as for top-end you'll probable lose about 3-4 MPH.

you can use the yz 250 front sprockets

maybe this will clear things
more top-end/less torque more torque/less top-end/

bigger front sprocket smaller front sprocket
smaller rear sprocket bigger rear sprocket
bigger rear tyres smaller rear tyres
fast open roads woods/tight trails

The part # for sprocket specialist is 504-12 for the 12 tooth sprocket. It uses the same front sprocket as the 99-2000 yz, the rear sprocket is the same as a late model banshee or warrior. Donelson's cycle in concord village, mo. (314 849 1830) has them in stock.
