eh i cant wait for a review in a mag. but those sometimes have biased and bad reviews. i guess the only way to find out is to ride one for myself.

The August edition of Dirty Wheels hasen't hit the news stands yet up here, hopefully in the next couple of days. I don't think they'll be doing a review until they get it out and test it, the mag probably just says what the Yamaha Web Site says plus extra pictures

yeah i checked the raptor 700r out at my yamaha dealer locally they have one they are testing out and it was insane they said a yamaha rep from main office in calif. was there told me all about it and this quad was in the making for about 2 years and was tested so... i doubt there will be much flaws. HOWEVER, i have stated in past the yfz will always be their top dawg and according to them yfz is still top MX quad and race, however.. the raptor 700r performs just as good and will out run a yfz in a drag no problem the YFI on it is very percise as well if you add pipe header, and possibly filter the bike will compensate and adjust properly without rejetting and stuff fuel injection doesn't jet however may need to hook up to a power connection to tune the bike which i think is what they are figuring out right now but they said its a totally different quad than anything... HELL a high cc quad 6lbs lighter than the 05's raptor 660r fuel injection and the upgrades they did on it, i sold my yfz so when it comes out i will be getting that beast....

kinda wish they had more colors though... but i think i'm blue all the way though white to me would be a mess to keep clean...

I don't care for the white and silver, hopefully it'll look better in person, I don't like the way blue shows stress marks, but atleast it's Yamaha Blue, maybe next year they'll come out with another color scheme or possibly a LE later this year

I'm more interested in how it feels sitting on it, the stance.

to me it felt really good and the hieght is very similar how the yfz sat because they lowered it and widen the axle and stuff so

I dont really care about the way it looks but the fenders are so damn long. No other 4 wheeler company is going to compete with the 700r. But i think the the 700r will come out on top of the yfz by a little bit. This bike is going to be f@#$%^* sick.
