Yeah,
The elevation and temp are a separate thing based on sensors in the system. Those sensors aren't being bypassed nor are their signals being modified, so they will work as normal.

ok great to know that stuff, one thing also you know if it'll be using the same oil dunno if it matters since its still a 4storke but if the fuel injection requires something different... is it necessary to use yamalube??

It's unlikely that the new Raptor will use a different oil. The EFI has no bearing on that anyhow.
I'm sure Yamaha will recommend Yamalube, but once past breakin I'll switch to Amsoil.
Most likely the 0w-40 4-stroke oil.

you know if you'll be able to take out the baffle/spark arrestor to get some noise out of it or would you haveta remap etc...

I don't think that pulling out the baffles would matter enough to make any difference but noise.
I'm pretty interested in finding just how adaptive the EFI is. Still waiting to hear back from Yamaha.

it was mentioned in another post but im sure Powercommander will come out with a unit for the FI raptor...then when u mod it with exhaust, filter, etc..im sure they will have a list of specific maps u can download to the ecu.

if i'm correct as well the powercommander would plug into your computer at home and you download them onto it and then upload them to the ecu of the raptor correct...
