why did u sell your yfz for it you dont even know any of the problems it may have. you should of waited In my opinon

 

I wonder since its fuel injected if someones going to make a unit like the Powercommander to plug in to mess with the fuel and air.

 

I guess the circle has come all the way around. I remember when everyone was saying, "I'm selling the Raptor to buy a YFZ". Now were selling the YFZ to buy the Raptor. I think Yamaha has ya'll by the balldingo's.

 

they did say they are making a powercommander for it, as well it isnt just the cc's and stuff the a arms swing arm is all off the yfz450 so its built like a yfz but motor and suspension is different, the yamaha rep stated to me that it will beat yfz off the line and at a drag they knocked off 6lbs from the 660r as well... a lot better and consistant fuel /air management as well better all around power..


and i quote " i did think the yfz was the best out there everything is always getting better and this raptor i feel for what i do is better as well i can see that quad will take on mostly anything dragging or overall performance and do great..."

 

if you read my past posts on here or other threads on the 700r the yamaha crew's have had this quad in the making trial and error for over 2 years so they had time to test it not like a car where you here its coming out now and it'll be here for 2007 thats how flaws happen and problems 2 years is ampel enough time to get the bugs out as well they are testing them still my dealer has one and before they ship theirs out to be sold they will fix any issues they had come back...

 

the yamaha rep told me it adjusts its self has a 16 bit ecu .it adjust for a pipe

WHAT!?!? The only rappy 700 ive seen them test is that stupid 686 from lrd. I even took a special trip to wally world at 2a.m last night to check!

 

Yeah, i did the same thing............. Iwent last night to my Jewels (supermarket) and they still dont have the new issues. Thats one of the benefits of odering it , you get it way before the stores get it.
But as for the raptor , is going to be sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Iam waiting for the z-450 to come out to make my decision of which quad to buy between the 06 yfz, 06 raptor , and z-450.
