You have to grind the shock mounts, not the shock. You don't want to do any work to the shock itself. The Raptor already has the suspension travel for the shocks, but not enough room for those monsters to clear. Okay here is what has to happen. The upper shock mounts are round, you have to cut them so that they are straight across, but don't cut too far or you will weakin the mount. Then you have to cut a corner off. Mess with it slightly. At first, dont even worry about the bottom mount untill you fit the upper ones. Once you fit the top ones, then comes the bottom. The inside of the bottom mounts have a lip on it. That has to be cut out. (BE CAREFUL!!! DON'T CUT INTO THE WELD!!!) Keep in mind, this whole process is impossible without a "Dremmel Tool." After you cut those out you have to grind through the bottom of the A arms in order for the bolts to line up on the bottom. It is going to take some trial and error, but if you are careful they will fit fine. When you are done make sure everthing clears and flexes properly. It took me about 2 hours to do the whole thing. And believe me the results are worth the trouble. If you need more help let me know. I will try to get some pictures for you if you really need them. Good Luck

Thanks for the info. It worked like a charm. Thank god for a compressor and die grinder though, that would have taken forever with a dremel.
