Default Filter plugs

i just got my uni filter vent plug things for my YFZ. i was just wondering where i should put them on the air box. I was thinking i would get more air if i put them on the sides rather on the lid. i do a lot of muddin and deep water so i dont want to let anything in my airbox. it has 6 little 1' plugs. where should i put them?
Thanx.

I have the same on my zilla , mine are in the lid and the seem to suck in plenty of air. Is the air box lid sealed up well buy the seat if not it should get plenty of air.

i think it has about an inch between it and the seat. i just thought more air would be able to enter through the sides.

Yeah put them in the lid the engine will be able to take in plenty of air. The only difference putting on the side would be that when you'r ridin some air might get pushed in. But they would be safer in the lid and still give extra air.
