Default 660 vs. 125

One of my buddies recently bought an 01 YZ 125 with Pro Curcuit exhaust. He raced another friend who has a stock 05 Raptor 660. To no surprise by any of us, he won. I myself have an 03 Raptor with full GYT-R exhaust system, jet kit, k&n air fitler, its bored out to about a 700 and has been geared up. He wants to race a 500 meter drag race. What do you all think the outcome will be? I brought in the idea of racing for slips, but he asked for a 'practice race' first. Let me know what you think.

dont race for slips, its too close. That will mostly come down to rider.Personally, i think u might take him.You should just bet money instead of bikes.

Whoever has the fastest top speed is going to win. Five hundred meters is about 1/3 of a mile, more or less, and the YZ 125 at least, is going to be at its top speed in half that distance. Tell you what, ... I'll take on the winner in another 500 meter drag race with my KTM 525 MXC .

The previous owner of my quad bike clocked it at 92. Considering I wasn't there to see this, I'm not positive how true this is. Compared to my friends four-wheelers though, it's easy to tell how fast it is. I'm assuming a YZ 125 with only muffler modifications can't do 92, but we'll see.

My son has a YZ 125, and I would guess they top out at about 75 mph. Good luck.

Top speed wise you should win. However be careful of what else might be done to that bike if it's been a little while since your friend raced him. 2-Strokes respond amazingly to mods you can't even see
