well today my friend was riding my quad and hes turning and the gear locked up u cant shift or nothing it is stuck in gear and the back tires wont move wat could be the problem like the gears are jammed and u cant shift its stuck and it wont come out please help im depressed dont know wat to do is it something i can do myself or should have the dealer look at it first

 

Unfortunately my friend you have a 2001 Raptor, right???

I'm going off your signature line.

The 2001 Raptors had many issues with their transmission's.

In short, I would take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

now i know that the 01 raptors have bad trannys but correct me if im wrong but isnt it that in the middle of that year they fixed that problem

The tranny problem was fixed the following year, 2002- and up are fine, stay away from the 2001's though.

 

DO NOT GO TO STEALERSHIP, find a shop and replace the gears with Fortin gears, good luck , its gonna be $$$$$$$$$$$$
