Got vitos jet kit but dont work

I got the vito jet kit for a blaster of ours and it wont run with it.i think the stock main was 200 or 220.When i installed their 290 jet I ran it WOT and it just didnt have any power then the stock jetting.Right now its all pur back to gather the stock way and it runs great even tho it has fmf exahust,clamp on airfilter.i looked at the plu and its on the dark side.Do you tihnk I should go down on the jetting to 1 190?btw im at 5000ft altitude.

Need more info. Are you using the airbox lid?? Is the fmf exaust a full exaust or a slip on?? What brand of jets are in the vito kit, mikuni or dyno jet, because the numbers mean different things for the different brands?? You can tell this by looking at the bottom of your stock jet. The bottom has the # and a logo. Does the vito jets have the same logo as your stocker jets?? 5000 feet is thin air. Seems like 290, if it is a mikuni jet, is too rich for your alt. What did the jet kit instructions say??

I got clamp o ait filter, full fmf exhaust.I tihnk the stock jet is 220.They gave me a 260/290.I tried both but they just bog down and dont give it enough power.The brand of jets is mikuni and the jets have the same logo.

I would think at your alt. the 260 would be better. What position is the needle clip in?? When does it bog down, at w.o.t., or at mid throttle?? If it is at w.o.t. you might buy a 250 and a 240 main jet {mikuni} and try them {$5 a piece from dinnis kirk}. If it boggs down in the 1/4 to3/4 throttle range, move the needle clip up 1 position to lean it out.
