hi guys. i just bought a white and red one and a blue one. blue one is mine and the white one is the womens. from the minute i got mine loaded from the dealer i took the silencer/spark arrester off and now that i put it back in when we go to state parks it performs different??? and i also put 22' itp mud lites on the back.... wow big difference. lot better through mud and hooks up quick on hard pack. i wiegh 250lbs about 5' 9' what do you recommend the shock settings at???

First or all, taking your pipe apart like that will likely hinder performance and make it loud and thats about it. You may have done some damage because the exaust system need to have a certain back pressure, you should have it rejeted, and it should be fine. as far as the shock, they aren't meant for 250lb riders, beleive me I had to change mine....get a works or an elka, they will custom set the spring for your weight, i think the stockers might be able to hold 210 MAX....good luck with that - peace

I'm 6'5" and weigh a biscuit (or 2) over 330.
I just got Elka's on my Raptor and it rides like a whoe new machine...even more than I expected!!! I told Elka to make all 3 shocks for a 350 lb. rider, and they said they could do it.
I would highly recommend Elka or any other aftermarket shocks that can be built around your weight and riding style.

In my best showkiller voice, been eatin'! Onto the question, depending on the conditions and how you ride you may not need aftermarket shocks. I would recommend backing off the rebound....it's a little quick stock.
