Best 2-stroke ever
#41
The 87-92 LT250R quadracer did have a powervalve as well as the tecate.
And while a powervalve is meant to increase low end power, it also allows for a larger exhaust port thus increasing top end. With that said when it comes to stock port dimensions a good pipe has more to do with where the powerband is than a powervalve.
Yes the zilla was a bit weak for a 500 is stock form, but with porting and pipe it can make some serious power. And it can still have the low end a banshee can only dream of.
The overall best 2-stroke quad was the TRX250R, and that is simply because it's chassis design wasn't rivalved until the YFZ450 and TRX450R came around.

quad motor box stock gasgas300...hands down, ive smoked sevral 250r's with aftermarket top ends, the 300 has awsome power stock, can be modded to 60hp for under a grand, ultra smoth gear box,and can be lugged like a 4-stroke.and its reliable
the ktm 380 really impressed me,has the grunt of a 500 but revs quicker

All this talk about the 250R, ... how about you guys put your money where your mouth is . You can buy a brand new 2005 Honda 250R from Service Honda. The picture on that web site is old though, because the current 250R from Service Honda has the new style 450R plastic on it.

He just means that in california the green/redsticker laws are getting tighter.
I have a 93 KX500 and 97 Banshee and can ride them year round, but if you buy a brand new banshee or whatever, they have a red sticker meaning
you can only ride half of the year. (LAME)
