Default HELP!!!

alright so i got 2 problems here.(regarding bruin 350 4x4)
1.a couple of days ago in the rain there were a few floods in the road about 10-12 inches high and there was some mud so i decided hey lets try 4x4. i went through the mud once i got out of the mud i stopped put it back in 2x4 and continued my ride except right when i kicked it into 2x4 you felt the quad jerk a little bit and the 4x4 light started flicking for about 20 seconds. does anyone know the cause of this? i came to a complete stop when i put it back into 2x4.
problem 2. everytime i just start my quad up and let it warm up for a min or 2 when i start pulling out of my driveway you hear a pop sounding like somethings stuck and the power pushes it open. almost like a bad bearing. im wondering what to check it comes from my back right area and the quad i an push fine and ill hear no noise but when i drive it out i can hear it.. so what should i check?
thanks alot for all answers the quad was purchased may 30th so its still new and i am also having the fan go on alot and it was the last bruin 350 they had so im wondering if i take it in are they gonna fix it and keep it for a while and decide they wanna call it suer error and charge me, or will they just replace it with a 2006 model? but id really like to just keep the 1 i have so does anyone know what to check?
thanks alot again

ok. Problem 1, i think that some of the bolts or connections could be lose, you should try and open it up quick and tighten things and make sure everything is clean abd copesetic.
Problem 2. I think if you cleaned the carb, spark plug, and make sure the exhaust pipe aint clogged up or anything then u'l be good, i hope i helped i didn't read anything past problem 2 lol

Default HELP!!!

There isnt a need to come to a complete stop, to put it in or out of 4x4. If its just coasting along, itll do the change alot quicker than if its stationary. Its posible the disengagement of the front diff made the noise, and it took 20 secs of flashing because you were stopped. It engages easier and quicker, if theres some movement, rather than sitting still.
The poping noise...is it from the carb, and youre hearing the noise in the air box? Does it only happen when getting on the gas? Does it go away when its warm? If you try riding off, with the choke on....does the noise go away? If it is coming from the air box..its because the idle circuit is lean, and the mixture screw could be turned ccw, about 1/8 to 1/4 , which will richen the idle mixture. This could also be the reason the fan comes on so much...its running lean. Or the oil cooler is plugged with mud or something else. Flush the outside of the oil cooler with a garden hose, to make sure air can circulate thru it.
New quads have a 6 month warentee, but you might want to call or talk to the dealer about these issues, and see what he wants you to do.

Default HELP!!!

the noise sounds like its coming from the back left tire(made a mistake first post and put right). almost like the tire is slipping off something. Im not with the quad at the moment im at my moms and tomorow morn ill be going home to my dads and ill spray the cooler fan with the garden hose and see if it helps . Ill also give the 4x4 moving a try it was the first time it ever acted up i was thinking maybe the rain caused it but i dont know?
im also a ittle nervous to touch this because i dont want to screw anything up ya know. I also wanna know if i should tell the dealer just cause im nervous of problems coming at me real bad right when the warranty ends.
thanks both of you guys for your help ill fill ya in when i try it

Dont be afraid, to discuss the problems with the dealer. Their job is to make the customer happy with the purchase. They are probably the best help for dianosing noise related problems..those are hard to do over the internet.

Than we did it rolling and it did the same thing. im pissed my dads pissed were gonna be calling the dealer and letting them take care of it and the other problems. hopefully this will be the only problems after they fix it. im pretty pissed i bought this quad and within a month and a half im experiencing 3 problems!!

I can understand being upset with problems on a new machine. However, be civil to the dealer. Usually, they will do more things for a nice customer than a swearing one.

Default HELP!!!

Check the fluid level in the front differential, it may be low. Also check the tire pressures, they need to be about 3 lbs. Different pressure in the tires, makes for different diameters of the tires, and that can lead to binding of the gear train, and dificulty in coming out of 4x4.
Are you doing the testing on high traction areas...like pavement. Or on loose traction like sand? It will definetly do some binding, if youre doing this on a high traction surface. When you using 4x4, the traction should be such, that the tires can slip.
