alls you should have to do it change the motor mounts then just set overything into place and make sure you have the front and back sprocket perfectly aligned

 

o and dont forget the frame lengthing and wheely bar

 

Gonna be tough to keep cool, my 05 R1 will get to 220 very quickly when stopped at a stoplight.

 

why would you want to put an R1 motor in a quad?

You know... there IS a limit to the HP one can use.

If you drop a 150HP (pre-04') or 180HP (04'+) 4 cylinder into a quad, you just created a quad that will never leave 1st gear.

The 1999 R1 that I had would go 89 MPH in first gear. 114 in second. New R1's will go 100+ in first gear.

No. If you MUST be the coolest guy on your block, then put an R6 or older YZF600 motor in there. An R1 motor will not be fun. Not at all.
And dont think im some wise old man that doesnt want to have any fun. Im 25, have had numerous street bikes including the Honda RC51 I currently have.

You will wish you hadnt done it, once its done.

oh yeah, im building this cuz im going to be street draging on a quarter mile sretch road. i need to beat a turbocharged honda hathback si (v-tech dohc four cylinder). i need to make it work.

 

If you don't know whats involved your never going to get the knowledge and experience here to do it properly........

As others have said, why even bother? Just go BUY AN R1 and you smoke them with ALOT less headache and hastle.

 

im telling you alls you have to do is ge thte motormounts set up make sure that the engin sits nice and straight and your front and back sprocket are aligned you might want to get an extended swing arm and axel but it would deffinently work i have seen a quadzilla with a ninja 1100 bored out to a 1600 and that thing is set up beautifuly and theres other bikes with crotchrocket engins that ride with him and their in 250R Frames and they climb hige steep hills no problem and i have a cousin who just baught a 4wheeler frame with a streetbike in it that was done in a week and its alright looking a few minor problems but if you take your time i garantee youll be happy and youll leave 1st gear cuz ya know you have an advantade you have fourwheels it wont be that scary

 

alrite dude. ima try, but the 25 year old dude that noes everything says that getting an r6 engine is better. how much would just the engine cost and how much will it cost total with after instillation and urthing. i still dont get wat that dude means by i cant leave first gear. iight thanks
