Default lt250r vs 416ex

i am about to buy an lt250r and i was wondering if it would be faster than a 416ex. It will have an fmf pipe, aftermarket carb, and it will be ported. Im getting tired of hearing how good this kids 416 ex is and was wondering if i will have a chance in a drag race.

What year LT? How close is that Blaster in a drag? If the LT is in good running order you should be able to take him just fine. Especially the 87+ models with the 6 gear tranny, those babies have a good top end speed.

lol if its 87+ not only will you beat it but you will murder it.... 250r and yfz 450 have close competition when moded up, and a yfz 450 will kill a any 400 ex pretty much.

You'll do just fine. Personally I think drag racing quads is pointless, HOWEVER...... when you got some little B*tch talking trash you just gotta lay the smackdown. I was recently riding with a guy who had a 440 kitted 400ex with a cam, full exhaust, blah, blah..... Anyhow he wanted to drag me on my '86 LT ( which only has a pipe & jetting ) & we were side by side 'till I topped out then he walked away. But, I only have 5 gears and tiny 18in tires. To say the least he was really taken back on how fast his 440ex....... wasn't.

An '88 powervalve engine, piped, port work & 6 gears....... I'd race for "pinks".
