skip the 125 and get the new 250f my friend just got rid of his 125 and got a 250f this summer and this thing is fast! it just rips stock u couldnt ask for much more but if you have to stick with the 125 2stroke id get the ktm i heard they are faster but have worse suspension im not positive just what i have heard? but id deff. look into the 250f before you make a move, if you decide to race it im pretty sure it is still in the 125 class but not positive, you might wana check that out b4 u make any decisions if ur racing

The new 4 stroke 250s are great...
But if your going to get a 125, they are all good.
take your pic. What color do you like. Red, green, yellow, or blue. (or orange, I suppose) although I dont know jack about the KTM other than speculation about someone casing it on a double or triple and the frame breaking into two pieces.
Top speed of a 125 with stock gearing is probably around 65-70. (my 1985 CR125 did 60-65)

from what i hear from my freind who races, stick with the 125 2 stroke and make it a YZ 125. that is the one who won all of the shootouts in mags. i got an ol' 1983 YZ125 and it will kill my stock blaster thats why im selling the blaster and upgrading. i would stay away from the 250f's cause what i hear is that they aint got nothing for a powerband, but a 125, in lowend, its kind of boggy, but once your into the powerband, hang on for the ride of your life cause its AUSOME!!!!! IMO

My friend has a yz125 and he kills me when we ride in straight aways never raced because well we already know the outcome the yz is fast and fun but if you like to ride in tight trails that thing sucks not enough power in first to second gear imo but overall its a good bike

The KTM would be the fastest of the major five of 2-strokes this year. Not by much. Thier also the most expensive to maintian. Each one is a super high strung package right outta the box.
Every manfacture trades the top power honors from year to year. If you believe what you read.... Yamaha's have always been at the top of the power ratings, and generally have always had the most well rounded package...
Ever heard of head shake? Be ready for it when you go flying down that dirt road.. topping out your New 125. My CR shakes it's head just going down small straights due to the steep rake that these bikes have.... thier designed for the track, and hammering berm's at very fast speed's..... you get used to it. the 1st time it happens it can be a eye opening experience.
Also not a SINGLE 2-stroke made it into the Hangtown main event this year in the outdoor's... And James Stewert Got his A** handed to him trying to keep up on his KX250, in the Outdoor's..
