Default Wheel Kit for Kodiak 450

I am considering putting new wheels on my stock '05 Kodiak 450 and have pretty much decided on Mud Lites with ITP C-Series Type 5 wheels (10" in front and 12" in the rear), but have not been able to determine whether I should go with 26" or 27" tires. I would like to go with the 27s for the extrac ground clearance, but am not sure if I need a lift kit or spacer. I do a lot of trail riding with a fair amount of mud and water.

Anyone have any thoughts before I pull the trigger? Thanks.

I put a set of 27” ITP589s on my 05 Kodiak 450 stock rims. I could not believe the deferent’s a set of tires made. Tires don’t rub but I did a notice a bit of power loose if I am in deep mud, but not enough to be concerned about.

Wheels are nice to look at – until you get in the mud…Spend your money on a winch instead of wheels.
