My dad and I are trying to install the rebuildable denton steering stabilizer on his raptor, after we got it installed we were trying it out and the billet aluminum bracket that clamps around the steering stem shifted. Are we supposed to tighten the heck out of it, or are you supposed to mount it around the lower hex part of the steering stem? Also, do you have very little clearence between oil tank and the front bumper?

thanks a bunch

i have one on my banshee...no, it should not leak oil. I tightend mine up pretty good on my steering steem, i had to move it down a bit though, because the one bolt would get hung up on my radiator. They are pretty generous when it comes to placement on the steering stem itself, so moving it over this hex region will keep it from shifting, do it, see how it steers, then go from there.

we tightened it up some more, and it solved the movement problem, but it still puked out a bunch of oil after we were testing it out. Maybe it was overfilled and didn't have enough room to expand, that and it's like 105 degrees here... I'm going to try to wipe it down and try it one more time, if it leaks again then we'll probably return it.

Trust me, return it! If it leaks, it's ca-ca!
