The CV carbs do not take care of jetting themselves. The main difference is that the throttle is not directly connected to the butterfly or slide, it is operated on vacuum, similar to a vacuum secondary on a holley carburetor. The theory is to keep up the velocity of the intake charge thru the carbs when the throttle is suddenly opened, hence the "CV" = "Constant Velocity".
