I was up at the Cinders this weekend also. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Those hills and cinders really tax an engine, although it is no excuse for your failure. Let us know how your fix goes and who you went with to fix it.

raptormaster, word to wise all raptors owners. never bore in to the 686 range on the stock rod, its not when its going to let go but its how bad and how much. Raptor PM me, i want to come over and take a look at the damage. Should of gotten the Carillo or the barker rod. You can get by on a 686 as long as you stay out of the HIGH revs and have a perfect condition stock rod. But i am willing to be you had you thumb in it, and that that raptor jsut screaming when it let go! Stock rod and 686 with high revs is bad news bears. The only people that i know that run 686's on stock rod and race them hard and have still held up are rapfams, he has two sparks 690's and a LCC 686 on the stock rods. and they run perfect.
