New to the board and to Raptors
#1
Hello people,
My name is Ed and I live in the communist state of Illinois. I just bought my first Raptor, a 2002, after I sold my 2001 Kawasaki Prairie on ebaY. I am VERY glad to have found this board! I think a good board is essential if you are an enthusiast in any sport/hobby. I was lurkin on raptortranny but they just didn't seem to have the amount of traffic this site seems to have.
So the reason I found my way here was to look into rebuilding the shocks on the Rappy. I am a big dude (6', 210lbs) and when I launch that thing from a 4' burm in my back yard, the fronts seem to bottom out rapidly. A quick search of this 'board kinda led me to believe they aren't rebuildable. Is that true? I would think there is a good'ol red nek method, i.e., recharge the gas or refill the oil or something. (no offense to red neks, I'm one)
Thanks in advance and I hope to be able to help other people along while I am here!

the stock shocks have 5 adjustments you can make to them. Lift the front end off the ground using a jack or w/e, then look at the bottem of the springs, you will see 4 or 5 groovs. the higher up the spring is the stiffer it will be. adjust each shock evenly! enjoy.
