Default bombardier 650 vs. 660 raptor vs. v-force?

which of the 3 quads is best for dragging, trialing races and everday fun rides, and where are the differencies in all three? which envioment are they best suited to i.e dragging or trials etc? cheerz and which is faster in a straight line?

The DS is best for drag racing, and has the highest top speed. It is best suited for desert racing, wide open across the rough chop of untracked sagebrush. Neither of the other two can come close to hanging with the DS in that terrain.

For trail riding on tight technical trails with lots of turns the DS is not the best choice.

yea the DS would be the best for drag racing. i would use the raptor for the trails. i dont really like the v-force but prolly kause ive never ridden one before.

The v-force has alot of potential, and is very fast out of the hole, infact didnt it beat the DS from 0-30mph in a dirt wheels issue. The fst 800cc kit for the v-force makes it a force to be reckened with.

I agree with MURDR. I had a V and still have the DS. The V is king to 30 mph when the Raptor will pass it and the DS leaves them all behind.

As far as trails, the V is just as good on open trails, but I doubt if it's better than a Raptor on tighter trails. The stock suspension on the V has a bit to be desired IMO.

Now the Raptor is a 686cc machine, we'll see if the DS still reigns supreme. In the August issue of Dirtwheels, they show 2 machines with a Bombarider 650 cover over them. Although one machine is quite a bit smaller than the other with what appears to be the same front bumper protruding through the cover. Could it be the new 450 racer or a newly revamped DS 650 in a smaller package?

That new Rappy is going to be VERY hard to beat period. Yamaha made the changes everyone has been asking for for 2-3 years now. When it comes to drag racing $$$$$$$ is the only limiter to "which quad" is better. That being said , the Rappy has a head start in the Wieght reduction department.

DS HANDS DOWN DRAGING i had the chance to ride one about a year back and man i feel in love it feels so stable and lays down some thick power like the 660 raptor and i rode a V-FORCE and wasnt to thrilled its fast but i just dont like all the hesitation when u gun it the power seems to come on slow which has to be due to the auto BS wish kawi would make it a manual ooooh it would be ooh so mean[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

lol yea the ds650 will smoke a raptor.. and yes i have the addition in dirt wheels that said the kfx was the fastest to reach 30 mph.. but i've witnessed a ds650 and raptor race stock and the ds won by about 5 quad legnths.. its hardly a race..

also haucks powersports makes a kit for the 660 raptor and it turns it into a 800 cc monster they claim 70 or 80 horsepower after the kit but its a hefty price at $2600.
