Wolverine is the best 4x4
#1
I have owned my Wolverine for two years now. And love it to death. Have put some money and work into it, and it has paid for a great ride. No matter where I go she is a looker. Have even had people look at her over looking at the new Rapter right next to her. I have had no major problems at all and she run's great. I ride it very hard and through it all have never had any problems. I will keep it till it can't run anymore. And that my friends will be a long time from now.

I am getting a new quad soon and I have noticed the Wolverine is nice.
Is it good for working like towing wood in a trailer, pulling other quads out of mud??, is yours good in snow?? I will be using it mostly for on mud trails and working, no racing
I have heard good things about the Wolverine...I may consider buying it if I can find one.

Yes it is excellent in the snow. I have been through some very deep snow and had no problems. Also very good power for towing have pulled many four wheelers. It is perfect combination atv sport/utility. I haven't seen one that compares.

I have a '96 Wolv, and although I am happy overall with the bike's performance, I would not try to claim that it has lots of towing power. It is geared much too high. I've got some modifications on mine, FmF Pipe, jet kit, etc, and I have alot of trouble pulling any amount of weight. I could barely pull my buddy's big bear out of the water (not mud), when it stalled out, and it was free rolling with just a slight uphill incline. I have had some trouble with the front limited slipp diff. It makes alot of noise when I cut the wheels, and I've noticed puffs of oil smoke when I kick it now, despite having taken VERY good care of the engine. I even change the oil after every 5 or 6 rides, and use the proper oil weight for the temperature outside, and it's still starting to use oil. I admit the bike is as fun as hell to ride, but It's costing me a fortune to maintain, so I'm considering selling it and getting a Kodiak.

I have a 99 Wolv. and am considering a blade for snow on it..how well does yours work..Really??
the wolv is a great quad, but it is geared higher than other utility quads and much lighter, how does the blade affect the wolv's performance?

I guess none of ya'll ride in much mud, because I got a Team Alba Wolf and after riding for 20 min. or so it will get about 50 lbs. of mud on the skip plates and after that you got to pop the clutch just to get it rolling. I agree that it is an awsome machine as long as it has it's stock size tires. Mine won't evenpull the 4'X 8' trailer I haul it in. Yamaha needs to think about putting the new Kodiak 401cc engine in the wolverines.
