I am going to replace the tires on my 2000 Grizzly. I want to put on mud type tires on that also work well on the trails. Hopefully there are other Grizzly owners out there that will share with me what you have tried, and what works and what you like best. Thanks!!

I am in somerset, work at polaris in osceola, not too far from you, The only good places i know are up by siren, danbury or other places about and hour away, forest lake is closer, anything over there?

Funny.....I always ride in Somerset....Just kidding. There aren't many places to ride around here. We have to trailer to do any real riding. How come you work at Polaris, and ride a Yamaha??

I got a hole that was to large to repair on my stock tires with my Griz, and I replaced them with the 27" Titan 589's. I've been very pleased with their performance. Very good mud tire, does well on hard pack and trails also. I would highly recommend them.

i have only worked at polaris for 6 months or so, i had put money down on the raptor and couldnt stand waiting any more for a four wheeler wasted most of summer, so i stopped at the dealer and saw the grizzly sitting there and just took it that night, i am going to get a polaris, probably in the spring, i am thinking about the 2wd scrambler 400, but thats how i ended up with a yamaha, sucked in by the raptor and didnt even get one

Hands down get BEAR CLAWS, i had them on my old big bear and when my 2000 Grizz needs new ones i will get bear claws again for sure, they are the best
4ply
good in mud and they wear well on hard pack like gravel roads.
They self clean well when mudding too.
The price is good too.
If you want pure mud tires i hear the MUD BUGS are really good bud they will wear down fast on gravel roads.
Thanks

Be advised, going to mud tires over stock will change the ride of your quad. I have a 2000 Grizzly and me and my friends ride the pipelines here in Northeast Pa. We encounter a lot of mud, but I also do a lot of woods riding on hard packed ground. most stock tires are 4ply. I put a set of 27 inch swampers on mine. The swampers are 6 ply, they give a much harsher ride. Being 6 ply tires the sidewalls dont give very much. You will see a huge difference in the ride. Because of the difference in circumference you will need to change the clutch weights ( this is what my locall dealer told me) I did not do this the grizzly has more than enough power to turn the swampers but there is deffinitly a change in clutch engagement. Also in really deep mud I now use low range,it is easyier on the clutch. Keep in mind that there are some really gnarly looking biscuits out there. but the deeper and farther spacing of the tread the more vibration you will get at high speed on harder surfaces. I have a lot of friends running Blackwaters and I still think they are the best mud tire going. These tires work very good in mud and still give you a good ride on regular trails. Just remember for every plus theres a negative at least for the most part. Be safe Hambone
