Default drinking and driving :(

The last few times I rode at atv parks, There were people drinking and riding. At least one was sloshed enough to get hurt. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Now I have second thoughts bringing my kids (and even myself) there to ride. Any injury/fatality makes atv's look bad and adds fuel to the eco-***** attacks. Then on top of it some idiots want to endanger others as well? I don't get it, and it really pisses me off that people could be so selfish as to not be able to wait a few hours for their barley pops.

I agree to a certain point..But this isn't the same as driving a automobile..And the reason is that the person who is going to get hurt 99% of the time is the person who is drinking on the quad..I'm not trying to defend anybody one way or another..hell i don't even drink..But i think that drinking and riding a atv is about the same as doing it on a boat..Just my 2 pennies

I like to have a few during the ride but dont get smashed, what really makes me mad is the fact that SOME people just toss there cans right were they finish them, some of the best places I used to ride got closed because of the amount of trash left behind..

this is just my personal opinion cause i see a lot of people drinking at the areas i ride and really dont care but if they ever hit me or do anything to endanger me or anyone of my family they will be dealt with some good ole redneck justice. i do my best to stay away from them idiots but you never know what they might do.

We just ride in the dunes, its to hot to drink while riding. However coming back to camp and popping a cold one is great. And the night time party is tradition with the dunes for us. You just have to be smart, I'm not going to tank then drive my car, so I'm sure as heck not going to ride my bike. I've seen dumb a$$ people do it and they end up paying one way or the other.

At the dunes the BLM patrols and busts morons who drink and ride. This also gives us some great entertainment.

My buddies and I sometimes drink a few and then go out riding. By the time we want more beer we're tired and done riding. We load up then go drink beer. Being wasted and riding is pretty dumb.

Does riding on private land make it better? Will your insurance cover it if one of your buddies dies and their family sues you over it? Have you got enough liabilty to cover if 2 of them wreck into each other and both get hurt? Riding on private property does have some laws to help protect you, but then they may not if alchol is involved and YOU are aware of it. Just be carefull!!

all i was saying,we ride on private land,so everyone riding we already know,,as opposed to riding on public land, where you have no control,or clue as to who is there

i equate riding on "public" land,,,,to,,,,hunting on "public" land,,,,,in both instances your taking your life, and placing it in the hands of complete strangers, and in most cases, complete idiots

i guess im fortunate enough to have the place to ride i do
