I was having trouble when I first stated the quad. When I gave it gas after the choking period, it sounded like crap, like it wasn't getting enough gas. I took the parking break off and it sounded the same. I turned it of then restarted it with the parking break off and it sounded great. After riding a while, I stopped put on the parking break and let it rest a while. Went to start it up again, and it wouldn't start. Put the parking break on, stopped the engine. Took break off, started the engine and it ran great again. This is real wierd. I don't know how a parking break could have so much to do with the throttle response. Since this quad is so fun to ride and feels great in the seat, I and others are going to have to "learn thier vehicle". I don't feel that these things are that much of an inconvience. I did however, because this is first year production, get the extended 36 month warranty.

 

the raptor has a rev limiter, if the parking brake is on. If you leave it on and start it then you you will have what you described. Apparently it can stick and make your quad run like crap, you can buy a block off kit and unhook it for about $20 or just unhook it.

I had that same problem likes Dinocrisis!
It's not the parking brake! My dad took it back to the dealer and they found out that the vacuum hose was pitch off so it won't get any air and ran like a crap! I straighted the hose and Ran awesome and ran better when it was new!
So try that out see it will your problem! It really help my problem!!
