need new tires for my grizz
alrite.... heres my problem...... my stock tires will be worn out by winter time so im looking for some new tires. i want tires that are good for snow and mud..... but wont slow down my grizzly. im afraid that if i get the wrong tires then i wont go as fast. i want as much speed out of my grizzly as i possibly kan.... but i also need tires that do well for plowing snow or going through sum mud. could someone please tell me the best tires to buy because i dont really know much about tires. i was looking at the mudlite tires and they looked pretty good. any suggestions would help me a lot. thanks in advance.

I just bought a brand new 2004 Grizzly 660 and I love it. ITP Mudlite tires are the best value in atv tire and a good mud and all-around tire. GBC Dirt Devil tires are good all-around tires. Maxxis Big Horns are the smoothest riding tire. All these tires will not slow your Grizzly down.

This is a tough one, and I'm in the same situation as soon as my stockers wear down enough. Dirt Devils are a pretty good tire, and I've heard good things about the Bighorns as well. But.... both are fairly heavy tires when compared to the stock setup. About the only thing I've seen that compare in weight to the dunflops that come with the Grizzly are the Holeshot ATR's and the Carlisle Badlands radials. Heard good and bad about both, but their tread designs aren't as agressive as either Dirt Devils or Bighorns. I'm thinking its probably going to be a tradeoff. Tread for weight. I'll probably end up with the Bighorns when it all goes down, unless somebody else makes something new. I'm not crazy about anything ITP makes other than their wheels.

thanks for all the suggestions guys. i still have no clue which tires to pick though, lol. i dont ride the grizz in much extreme terrain and the stock tires work fine for me..... i never get stuck with them because i dont do extreme riding. i dont need huge tires that kould get through 10 feet of mud.... i just need tires that wont slip in the snow so that i can plow without any problems. so my point is that i dont want big and heavy tires.... just tires that are a bit better than the stock ones. i have a couple weeks to look around and think about which tires would work well for me so im in no rush..... yet.

When you ask a question like this you are going to get very little fact and a whole lot of opinion. Not that everyons opinions are wrong, it's just you don't know which one to believe.
You want a 6 ply tire. The stock tire is only 4 ply and has a very thin side wall which adds to the tippy feeling that everyone talks about. The 6 ply tire will give you a more stable feeling.
It's going to be difficult more like impossible to find a 6 ply tire with the same weight as the stock tire.
The Mud Light or Dirt Devil is a very good tire for mud and snow and still give you a smooth ride on the trails but to get the 6 ply in the Dirt Devil you have to go to a 26" tire. The Bighorn is a good tire as well.
I guess it all comes down to what you want.
