Default Raptor 700R Weekend Races

yeah thats cool, i actually with to the dunes and met up with the local guys here from the dealership like a month ago they had a test 700r they were using and they raced and stuff vs. many quads and they were like pro type riders so i know they know how to run the quads... they raced vs. many quads and the only yfz they were able to beat was a stock yfz. they brought many quads to test against it... thats why i was just saying about the yfz races but it is more on the rider... once the 700r gets some mods it'll be a bike to recon with... i was impressed... just watch that fuel pump... ;=)

Gearing is very short in first, but very good from second on. And like the 660, it handles short shifting very well. The front doesnt rise near as easy as the 660, it will however still wheelie really easily when you want it to, and will do it in first second and third.
it better be able to do one in 4th and 5th too or its weak.... yeah i dont think in an ideal race ud take a piped yfz or 450r, but i believe u beating stock ones by a little

yea i'm right with you on that one its a big power increase when you hook up a yfz or even the 450r with a pipe and rejet and no lid... 30% power increase if i'm correct... yamaha wouldnt release a lower price quad to out perform and beat their top model...

The msrp is $6999 on both the YFZ450 and the Raptor 700R. And for the last time, I beat the guy. So stop whinning, yeah he might not have raced it up to it's capability, but he got beat regardless. You honestly don't think that the fastest bike wins every race, do you? I think it was Tony Montana from "Scarface" that said "I got two things in this world, my word, and my *****, and I don't break either of them for nobody." And I haven't tried wheelies in 4th or 5th yet.

you do realize GreenBeast said he lost to the heavily modded yfz, right? just makin sure

well i know they are selling the 700r cheaper here than the yfz so... but anyways you'll get beat if the rider on the yfz's knew how to ride good luck though...

Vinny do me a favor and don't reply to my posts anymore. I only posted this thread by request of other members who wanted some info on the bikes capabilities. Three weeks ago you practicly had your bike sold, and were going to buy a 700R. At that time you were acting like the 700R was going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then you heard about the fuel pump recall, freaked, kept your YFZ, and have acted smug in every reply to my posts that you have written. You know what, if it will sooth your ego, I believe the YFZ is faster stock than the 700R, and I'm ok with that. I don't have to have the fastest bike out there to feel secure about myself. I bought the bike that best suited me for the environment that I ride in. Just don't meet me in the woods, because if your so insecure that you have to replace tallent with horsepower, all your gonna see are my l.e.d tails off in the distance. And to the rest of you YFZ riders, I mean no disrespect to you. I really like the YFZ, it's a great bike. If it had reverse, and a softer seat (I think the 2006 does) with a little more arch in it, I would have bought one. I'ts a great, proven bike. You have been great guys and girls and have given me great advise in the past. I would love to ride with any of you, much love. I'm just tired of all the negative BS. I see lives cut short way to often on my job, and the last thing I, or anybody else needs is more negativity in this world.

hey get your story straight first before you start talking out your @$$, i did sell my yfz and yes 700r is going to be a good bike but beating quads that i know for a fact that would spank your 14 yr old butt i know its a lie... i personally saw the 700r in action at the dunes here in california when my local shop got it as a demo and they raced it they raced a stock 05 yfz and barely beat it like 1/2 a quad, i know you arent a better rider than these guys are... if you say you are so be it but you think your gods gift to atv's and you aren't oh i'm getting mine but now its dealyed etc... well when your quad breaks dont blame up and i beat if you had proof which i would have brought a camera because you know people were going to say you lied... some people may say you didnt but we all know the truth i saw those quad in action and the yfz out performed it still a modded yfz will each you up alive... fuel injection is great you can say what you want... you have a biased opinion that needs to get checked,

"Couldn't find anyone to hang with me on the trail sections. Even the heavily modded YFZ didn't stay close. then again he wasn't used to riding trails"

dude are you serious probably because it was worried you were going to fall off and get hurt and he didnt want to run you over, adn i bought another yfz because after i saw it in action wasn't that impressed, its a good quad but i highly doubt a stock quad would out due a modded race quad....
