Hello ATVdunePro,

Just like in a high performance muscle car, If you have an engine that has a compression ratio over 10:0:1 compression, you would have to run it with at least 94 octane. I know my 442 has to run at least with 94 octane because I made the mistake of putting 89 in it once and it would not start! The Raptor can be run with regular gas since the compression ratio is under 10:0:1.

You're right... As a pilot the fuel is specially formulated for higher altitudes. It is also LL Low lead. I don't know what this would do if anything. I would assume Yamaha would not warranty failures due to using LL fuel.
