who really cares about top speed? I have never topped my rappy out on a trail.

I own a raptor, however i would love to have a dual cam setup. I went from a single cam engine to a dual cam engine in my crx and it makes a world of difference throughout the powerband, and it lets it revv more.

 

I should hope so, the Raptor has got nearly 200cc's on the Predator.

You are correct - CC's aren't everything - I have beat quite a few 660 Raptors and have lost a few too - the Rappy's I lost to were modded more than mine - from what I have experienced , it comes down to the rider - if you race the 05' stock TLD LE Predator against an 05' Stock Raptor, the Preddy wins every time - That Preddy comes stock piped and jetted from the factory - I rode one and it was very quick ! .... However, I am really liking the new 700R Rappy - It looks like it will be the shiznit for this yr- EFI and widening/ lowering is what it needed ..... Kind of hoping Polaris drops in that 525 KTM motor in their future Predators being they bought 24% of KTM.... I really want to ride one of those new Rappy's !! - Anyone race and LE Preddy with one yet ?

 

Well, i am going to have to disagree with you on that.The 05 tld and rappy with baffle out are both about the same.If they get the same take off and both have the same amount of experience in each rider then they will tie.i raced one already in those conditions, in fact i race a lot of preds and i was really impressed with the 05 tld.How they changed it so much in two years is amazing.It gave me a good challenge and they are both about the same stock to baffle out.If you are comparing stock to stock rappy and 03 or 04 pred then the rappy will win every time, but it does depend on the rider.
