How about it, guys? How does it compare to the 660 Raptor? It's common knowledge that the stock 660's were considered to be a little top heavy and narrow, how does the 700 stack up?

 

Well it doesnt compare it just BEATS it by alot.

 

The new 700's are lower and wider, kind of like a bigger yfz.

 

06 yfz450 would smoke it anyday stock or modified

The yfz450 is lighter, has the state of the art engine, better tuning suspension, more aarrodynamic, 5 valves, DOHC, lower center of gravity (better handeling), and WILL BEAT the yamaha 700r stock, or modified anyday, anytime!!!!!!!!!!!

 

ya i know its quicker, but i dont think it would smoke it, sounds like to me that u have a yfz450 and cant take that there might be a better yamaha, look i have a 2005 raptor and im not complainin that i missed the 700r by a few days

 

Yamaha claims the 700 is faster in a drag. Even if its not it will still beat it top speed.

 

the yfz450 can still woop it in a drag, it has a way faster acceleration, meaning it would take off the line faster, by the time the 700R pics up great speed, the yfz450 would already be at the finish line. Belive it or not!!!!

 

I do realize that was the case with the 660R, the Yfz would take it until they both toped out then the raptor would have a few mph on top. The 700R may be a different story beacuse people are saying it beats piped/jetted/modded air box 660's. We will just have to wait until their is a comparison done between the two in dirtwheels or something. Or until we see it with our own eyes.
