Yeah Reddog- I was lubing my chain up and noticed
that right away. I have only been out twice and have not been abusive. I think it came that way
and will be checking with my dealer.

If you bent it yourself while riding your dealer still should cover this problem under warranty. That should have to be covered indefinately considering that the skid is plastic! It's a wonder I have'nt bent mine. Wait a minute...mine is squeaking. I'll have to check it when I get home.

Reddog, no probs with brake rotors, but I did have a chain derailment problem. I took my raptor to the track and could not even go 1 lap without throwing the chain. I had checked everything that I could think of that may have been causing that to happen, but found nothing wrong. The dealer replaced both sprockets, and I haven't had a chance to ride it yet cause I'm working offshore. If my quad continues to have this prob, it's gone!
Hopefully it was only a warped or bent sprocket, cause I really like the quad, but if I can't ride it on the track, I don't want it!

When I adjust my chain for about an inch to inch and a half slack and push down on the rear the chain seems to get kinda tight quick. Chad..I wonder if your chain is too tight when the suspension is at the end of it's travel.

Speaking of chain tightness. Do you measure tightness by picking a spot on the chain, say the top,and push down all the way measure at top, then pull up and measure to the top. Or do you push chain down measure at bottom, pull up and measure to top. Owners manual insn't clear.

hi sandaddict

chain adjustment -- in the middle between rear sprocket and swing-arm chain slider you push down and measure the bottom of the chain then push up and measure the top af the chain.

I have got a warped rotor also. Of course I have had two bent axles...I do not get why I am having so much trouble with my.....(go ahead)...rear end. I also have problems with my chain coming off ad am always tightening it.

the Problem with your rear end appears to be too many vegetables, The raptor is a meat eater you know. Check the alignement marks on the housing make sure they are even and tighten it down. If not its probably a bent sprocket.
