Default Bear Tracker 250 transmission failure

I'm hearing grinding in first gear. It was fine one day and bad the next. Anybody have some ideas?

My beartracker did the same thing abut in fifth gear. I didnt even try to fix it, i just peddled it and got my KFX. I liked my tracker but i didnt like it enough to put money into to fix it.

well when i got my beartracker for 60 bucks it had no second gear all of the teeth had been ground off the gear. i dont think beartracker tranny failures are very common, the 2nd gear on my beartracker was ruined when i bought it becuase the kid was in second and he took a big jump and had the throttle wide open when he landed his foot slammed the shifter and whaaala no second gear. but in your case i would drain the oikl and see if there are any shavings in the oil. if there are you have a problem. i would talk to a dealer unless you think you can do it your self
