Alright, I had this same problem before, my raptor is bogging out when i really push it past half throttle suddenly. If I do it gradually it doesn't. I was told once to crank the fuel/air mix screw to 2 3/4 turns and it helped out for a while. Now its again bogging. I took the carb and adjusted it to 2 1/2, 2 3/4, 3, 3 3/4, and 4 turns still ran like crap. Whenever I opened the airbox a little bit though it would run better, but the plug would indicate it was running lean.
It turned out the big spring about the needle jet snapped on one of the carbs, idk how but I chagned that set it back to 2 3/4 turns and it still bogs, not as much as it used to but still on occasion. But the plug seems pretty good. I am sure if I opened the lid a little I would get no bogging but a white plug.
It is kinda weird because I would imagine bogging mean its running lean, but when I open the airlid up it runs good, but shows up lean on the plug.
Any suggestions? Tomorrow when I get back from work I'm gonna try putting it on 3 turns and see if it helps out. I don't think this woudl cause a problem but could it be that the valves need adjustment?
MIke.
