what do you guys think would win in a quarter mile drag race a stock 1997 mitsubishi eclipse or a piped 2004 yz250 2 stroke.

guys, its a 1/4 mile race, not a little 100 yards, the bike will be topped out in no time, before the 1/8 mile marker most likley, but the car should pass it im guessing with the extra time alotted after the bikes topped

 

I think the yz might take an eclipse if it's an automatic tranny 4 banger, but that's about it. An eclipse with a 5 speed or a v6 is a hell of a lot faster and should take the bike easy.

 

the really fast drag race cars...are automatic, not 5 speed...amatuers

 

Yeah the bike would eaisly be killed by the eclipse because of top speed

 

the bike will own it. the Eclispe only does the 1/4 mile doing about 91mph. The YZ250 tops out around 85. the bike will be winning by such a big gap the car wont have time to catch up. The bike will have lower ET's but the car will have a higher trap speed.
