Exactly how I felt. That is definitely why I chose the 700 over the 450.....I just didn't feel right sitting on it.

Same here, congrats on the new bike. I love mine. Got about 50 hours on it now. Haven't had any problems with it at all, except for busting the headlight and shroud, but that was my own show off fault. Had to adjust the rear shock a little, starting pounding a bit on the big jumps, other than that it's perfect.

I would have thought that the Rappy would have been a better duner just for the fact that it's suspension would be more forgiving and less stiff for bumps and such. The 450 is an awesome bike though. It's a tough call.

The suspension is definitely more forgiving, but it all depends on how you like to ride. I'm not quite as ***** out as some of the YFZ riders out there, so the forgiving suspension works for me.

I know about Ergonomics of both machines. I am 6'5 and 250. I sold my DS to buy the 700r. I fell cramped on the 450

I think the suspension is tuned for mostly trails. I felt it was too soft in the dunes.

Hey Air, I also have owned a DS for the last 4 years and considering a Raptor 700. I certainly don't want to start a flamming post but would appreciate any comparisons you could make between the two. You have owned both so I would have a tremendous respect for any information you would pass on. For some reason this has been a mum topic in the Bombardier forum?

I was actually pretty happy with the suspension on the 700 in the dunes this past weekend.
I was at Pismo which was pretty tore up and choppy and the softer ride of the 700 made it ride much smoother than my 660 did or some of the 450's I've ridden out there.
It would definately be too soft for racing or big jumps, because I've managed to bottom it out pretty easily too.

I picked up a 700 a couple days and have been impressed so far. I've ridden the 450 on a long ride in the dunes before and didnt care for how stiff the suspension was. It was bad, just wasnt very forgiving. I much prefer the ride of the 700, and since I'm getting lazier as the years go buy the reverse has been nice lol.

The ride is plush, the power delivery is very linear, and the feel is just right for me (5'11" and 175lbs).
