Not necessarily. I really don't know to tell you the truth. The reason the magazine did the "shootout" was to clear up all myths, hearsay and guessing.

The first the paragraph of the article starts with funny mock quotes that sound like what you just said. "My friend's bla bla will do bla bla" and "You're Crazy! I KNOW my bla bla will do bl bla because my friend's a State Trooper and we checked it out with a radar gun!" etc. etc. etc. etc. Then they say: "Sound familiar???"....and it continues to this day. Like I said, I wish they would do the same thing today with all these new quads to set the record straight.

 

Plus, I was reading one of the current mags that are out now and I believe they were testing the Raptor 700 and somewhere they said they radar gunned it's top speed at 74MPH.

Bu they didn't say what surface they were on or if there were any inclines or hills or anything.

That's why I love that super speed shootout. It was in a very accurate and controlled environment.
