wow, i have heard of the 01's having tranny problems, i thought they were fixed for 02. Bad luck huh

 

exactly thats what i said before for all we can know this kid may not know how to ride thats how people get here they think there ready when there actually not for all we know he mite not even be able to handle the warrior rite now u know just my two cents

 

not all of them i know some people who have 04 raptors and there tranny went on them mine just did the samething a month ago im in the process of rebuilding it now

well its not all u get some lucky 01's i thought the same thing that i was lucky and that it wouldnt happend to mine but sooner then i thought it had broke o well no biggie

 

how much to replace?

 

well for me it was like around $650 for everything but it came with the gears all ready assembled its more money for that and it came with all the head gaskets and other stuff but im am doing it me and my dad so which i am saving like about another $700 thats what yamaha quoted me and also im gonna spend a bit more caus eim getting all new piston and clutch which u really dont have to do but i am cause its a 01 so u know its been threw alot if u want the site pm and i will give it 2 you

 

i'll replace things as they go..... thanks anyways ive had good luck so far. bike has low hours on it for an 01. Why did you get a new pistion, dont they last?

 

i havent u caus ei stil not done rebuilding it but im thinking of getting a new 1 cause its all worn i think but im not sure but deffinatly the clutch kit

 

how can u tell the piston is worn?
