Default Wolverine owners, help

Just got a used mid nineties wolverine and was checking it over. Went to check timing and oil ran out of the plastic plug hole where you turn the flywheel. On all of my four stroke bikes, none have oil on the flywheel side. Is this normal for the wolverine?

all 4 strokes? hell, all engines in general dont have oil on that side. it might be an oil leak from the seal on the flywheel end of the crank.
