Personally, I truly believe all these guys can build fast Raptors capable of winning and have proven this as fact in one venue or another. They really don't have anything to prove at this point. They can just sit back and focus on earning a living doing what they do well. Now that anyone can buy enough power under the seat to win, it is up to the guy (or hot babe) on top of the seat to make it happen. This is where 90% of races are won or lost. I've watched enough car and ATV drag races to know that rarely can 2 drivers both get over the nervousness of racing to both get excellent starts that results in a really good race. This is why you see all the arguments and excuses about why someone lost but didn't really, etc. blah, blah, blah.

I really hate to think if I pick a builder, I have aligned myself with a group on the forum. Would this mean if I came out to race, I would have to sit around a particular builder's campfire or do we all just sit around one campfire and drink from the same keg? Should I fear being poisoned if someone else gets me a beer?

In the end, I would rather know I am a good racer who can win whether I purchased from Kenz, Craycraft, Trinity, or any other builder. If Ricky C. can win on any bike, isn't that really saying something about Ricky? I fully support friendly competition amongst men but really think it has crossed the line and gotten too personal way too often.

Good Luck and I hope you all do get a chance to get together for a day of competition and remember in the end to be a humble champion knowing you too will one day lose because you didn't pull it all together for those few 4-6 seconds. It really had little to do with your engine builder. It was you who won and you who lost. If you can't take competing, don't race. Plain and simple.

Quad2x you do bring up some good points, but most people on here just take it a little too far, but all in all its just some friendly smack talkin. as for the gang thing, its like the ford vs chevy vs dodge and bud vs coors when we all know CHEVY and BUD are the best just good ole friendly teasing.I say we all just give it our best and tip a couple beers and wait to meet up next time.

LOL... I love how that just comes up all the time! It was on a downhill track that I heard was MAYBE a little shy of 300ft. Thats not what bothers me though there was one video of this and then the bike was gone... Why no more posts of this "worlds fastest bike" and since this was his first time out then did it get faster? NO if it did your sig would have changed by now. ANYONE that drags 300ft ALOT knows that there are nights when the track is forgiving, or maybe your wheels jump the line... You may see a 4.4-4.5 run on a 4.8-4.9 bike but any SELF RESPECTING drag racer DOES NOT claim those runs. I had a 727 Trinity bike that was a SOLID 4.8-4.9 bike on the track and had a few passes at 4.5 on the bottle... I do not put that I have a 4.5 quad in my sig because I DONT.

I was going to stay out of this but by the time I read 11 pages of posts I just couldn't do it...

Tim Barker has a totally different port work for the Raptor then the others that I have seen (trinity and CR). Barkers flows better and pulls harder. I have seen this on bikes that I have both ran at the track as well as rode and worked on. Tim deserves credit for all the bikes running his head work be it a CR or a Kenz bike. As for the cam making the build... B.S!!!!! I can buy a cam or have any cam builder make me a cam with lobes at any spec I wan't... and put it together but it doesn't mean I MADE THE BIKE FAST. The people doing the machine work and port work make that happen... LIKE TIM.

Anyway just had to vent for a minute... Hope to see all the builders keep up with R&D and keep making changes to better ALL us Drag race enthusiasts... BUT at the same time all the builders need to give each other credit where credit is due. I respect guys like Harry at Trinity and Tim at B&M who let their bikes do their talking you don't see them on here bickering like a bunch of pissed of old women. (there are a few others as well but I have had no personal experince with so I won't mention).

Beech never thought I would stick up for you... Especially in a thread about making 4 stokes fast... Seems weird even saying that. LOL I'm sure your port work is just as good as CR's (I have seen it) and there is no need to copy something that I am sure ANY experienced person could copy just by cleaning up whats already there. I'm glad you are getting into the 4 stokes and hope to see you build some more bikes... I'm sure they will only get faster.

Raptorman- Yes the track was slightly downhill, but 300 feet. Probably falls 4 foot from start to 300 feet. But the banshees that run there run the tracks all over, atoka, kansas, la etc.

The guys that owns the CR raptor, does not and will not get on the forums. There has not been a raptor built to date that i have sceene or heard of that can catch him. His raptor is SET-UP to run 300 foot drags. tHIS GUY (KELLY) had Bob (CR) build a motor that he could run on week ends with his drag racing banshee buddies. Those drag banshees look 10 foot long and weight 100 pounds. lol

The track at burelson is availible to ANYONE to run. If guys had a quad that would even come close to 4.2 they would make the trip and do it. To JUST WHINE about this or that is funny. Like the track at FSW's or Here or there does not have issues. LOL One of the atv mags did a story on that track also.

 

Kenz owners whine, whine and whine some more about Craycraft. You Klowns should be sending me and others thank you cards. The real time line on kenz looks like this

1. Azsand bust Kenz chops over work done to his DS and power not up to snuff (call this 2002 but may be eariler or later)
2. The Fatnatics forum does not even view Kenz as a 4 stroke builder in there own back yard (2003)
3. One AZ riders orders piston, valve springs and a CR port job for FSW2 and did well.
4. King vs Howardstern's Kenz build. Dyno days at kenz turned out to fall short of Kings (trinity) build. Howards quad was built to dance on the naysayers in and around Gilbert AZ. Funny how Howards quad blew on the dyno due to bent valves/ blown head gaskets. Playdoo is high in AZ i suppose.
5.If it were not for 14 and a few others kenz riders would be on 50hp quads racing trinity owners.

COPYING has been a good thing for kenz but his quads have yet to run with Craycrafts. Even Kenz's latest greast no expenses spared super fueled raptor of Michealaz proved to be no match for Jarheads PUMP gas CR build. Jarhead has a fantastic and fast raptor but it is not the top tier Craycraft Build.

Rapfams old CR 686 was to much for Kenz to handle. Kenz tried barker duals and other tricks last season trying to beat rapfams CR and his dads and uncles Sparks builds. not sure that kenz can run with rapfams hammer and chisel quad

I as a CR rider am more concerned with rapturd than any kenz powered slug that is not actually going to show and race anywhere[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

It is funny to me that kenz 2 biggest cheer leaders are 2 guys that-
1. One (KLOWN) does not even own a raptor
2. Raptoraz- Dune trail rider, may even be the one that posted he did 83 mph at the salt flats on his kenz raptor. lol
