Are you putting any type of new air filter in there???? If you are removing the lid you are going to want to bump yoour Pilot Jets to 25's. In my opinion, get the GYTR Jet Kit, it has everything you need.

My advice would be to spend the money and get a Pro Flow K&N and a Jet Kit. You will be happier in the long run. The Jet kit will come with new mains, pilots (unless its Dyno Jet Kit, then you will have to get Pilots from dealer) and new needles and springs. Jet it to how the kit tells you and put your tank back on and ride it. See how it rides. If it rides good, put a brand new spark plug in it and ride a day. Check the plug and if its good, your good. If its white, your lean, black, your rich.
