Which way do you guys run your master link? clip on the inside or on the outside(this only applies to those who are running aftermarket chains)? We've noticed on my buddies 04 that the master link has cut a groove in the case just in front of the sprocket. Anyone seen this before?

 

I've always put the clip on the outside of anything I've ever had.

 

same here I always had the clip towards the outside on my warrior and other quads i've worked on and never had any problems with it.
