4 Wheel Action cover - those idiots
#1
Okay, I posted this in Yamie forum because its one of the most read and this deals with Yamaha product. Did anyone take a close look at the cover of the latest issue (or even a quick glance) of this month's 4WheelAction? Those idiots over there had in BIG print about the 450 Wolvie - ANOTHER IRS SPORT QUAD!!! Biggest fools in the industry. I could throw a low quality magazine like 4WA overnight I'm sure. Heck, these forums have better knowledge of quads. How stupid can you be? All of us here KNOW and love quads, much better than those do-it-for-the-money imbucels. Every month I find two or three mistakes.
4WA is written for preteens and teenagers, the way its put together with the headings - I understand that. But these guys are supposed to be experts - its a national magazine for f*&ksakes!!! And DirtWheels is no better. Funny how the oldest and most "respected" magazines are the worst now. So much corporate and sponsored BS - we are paying for a magazine that is nothing but an advertisment to the highest bidder. They lost all their good writers and editors about two years ago to the young, aggressive magazines, mags with some drive and integrity. Now these mags are tops in quality without a doubt (ATV mag, ATV rider, etc.), but I doubt they outsell the "biggie" Dirtwheels.
And Dirtwheels cover last month with the 700 Rappy - ridiculous with the highlights wrong all over the place.
As far as I'm concerned, they are living on their name, nothing else. I have almost every issue of these mags saved since I first started buying at 7 years old (around '84-'85). No more, this is the final straw... I'm done with those crap rags.

The company website isnt much better
* The all-new Wolverine 450 4x4 combines features like 4WD and a fully automatic transmission with light weight, sport-tuned adjustable suspension and Raptor styling. The result is a highly functional machine that’s a blast to ride almost anywhere.
* A liquid-cooled 421cc single feeding power through a full-auto constantly variable transmission means just twist the throttle and go, practically anywhere. The Wolverine 450 is a great explorer.
* California green sticker compliant.
Twist the throttle?
And Isnt this just an 04 kodiak without the low range? And maybe lower profile tires.

Guess we need to get some riders together with a little ability to write and some $$$ and put a new "real" mag together.
I know its not easy but I dont think we could do any worse
