1 there is only a Raptor 700r.. their just confused thinkin its a streetbike or sompin
2. Its a KFX-400 by kawasaki which is the same as a LTZ400.. minor mix up on the designation. And I dont believe stock for stock the 400 will outrun the 700. however it is prolly better in some conditions.
3. most of us really dont care about top speed since it isn't too often you have it pegged in High gear. Most of your time in the woods is spent not goin fast as the quad can go, but going as fast as you can ride semi safely... that rule of thumb goes for pretty much everywhere.

never heard of a kfz but if your reffering to kfx400 then there is no chance of it beating the raptor700 stock for stock and top speed doesnt matter because you will rarley have space to go full speed also what type of ridding do you plan to do trails, mudd, sand

i am prob gunna go riding on sand but when it rains ill go on dirt whould that mess up the quad if i go on dirt? and is 75 MPH the right Top speed on it on dirt or what? sorry guys if i am asking too many quations

700r is too new to really know how its gonna handle a beating in the long run... Its gonna have its problems like everyquad. each manufacturer draws a line somewhere between weight and durability. If ya keep it on all 4 tires and dont run into chit it will last as good as any.. you crash. that can get expensive.

Probably hard to wait a little longer but the new Suzuki 450 with EFI could be worth a look too. It will probably have wider stance (not requiring you to spend extra money on a-arms and rear axle) and possibly long travel shocks. If this is the case, this quad would be setup more for riding mx and the dunes than tight woods riding.
A stock KFX400 is just faster than a stock 400ex and not even close to a Raptor 660. I assume the 700r is even faster stock for stock and will certainly be more than enough power with a new exhaust and open airbox. According to Yamaha engineering, you don't have to remap the EFI for this modification either.
If you decide on the KFX400 then I recommend checking out the Artic Cat that is basically the same except Artic Cat is now advertising a 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty.
Well for a full report, I really like Honda products too but I wouldn't hold my breath for anything cutting edge - maybe the 450r with electric start for the XC crowd though. The 650ex rumor is floating again this year too. Won't matter much though unless they can keep the weight down to under 400 lbs like Yamaha has managed to do with the much ergonomically improved Raptor.
This is definitely the year of the sport quad. So sue me, I love them all! I am even open-minded to the new Polaris Outlaw for XC. If the KFX700 was supposed to be a killer XC quad, this quad should do really well. It certainly won't get slowed down going around rutted turns with its IRS suspension.
So what type of riding you planning?
